Roles and permissions

The role editor with read and write permissions
A role grants read and write access by area.

Roles determine which parts of Bidvise a team member can see and change. Create roles around real responsibilities, then assign the appropriate role to each administrator.

Read and write access

Each area has separate read and write permissions where supported. Someone may need to review invoices without changing them, while a cataloguer may need both permissions for items and auctions.

A master administrator can manage the complete workspace. Keep that access for the people who genuinely need it.

Administrators and API keys

Administrators receive a role when they are invited or edited. API keys also use roles, allowing an integration to be limited to the areas it needs.

Review access when someone’s work changes and remove unused administrators or keys. A smaller permission set makes accidental changes less likely and gives the team a clearer answer to who may do what.
