Auction settings
Auction settings provide the starting values for a new sale. Set the normal house policy here and change the auction when a particular sale needs an exception.
Buyer and catalogue defaults
The page contains the standard buyer’s premium, whether proxy bidding is allowed and whether lot numbers are shown. The buyer’s premium is charged to the buyer and should not be confused with seller’s commission.
Timed-auction defaults
Timed defaults include the number of lots closing together, the interval between lot closings, the late-bid threshold and the extension applied after a late bid.
These values affect how a timed session closes. Choose them deliberately, communicate the closing rule to bidders and review the final values on each auction before publishing.
Bid amounts follow a separate bid increment table.
